Creator Agreement
Maus-Tec LLC, doing business as Maus-Tec Electronics
This Creator Agreement (“Agreement”) is a binding contract between you (“Creator”) and Maus-Tec LLC (“Maus-Tec,” “we,” “us”) governing your participation as a content creator on Maus-Tec platform services, including Maus-Hub and any future marketplace services (collectively, “the Platform”).
By uploading content to the Platform or accepting this Agreement during account setup, you agree to all terms below.
1. Eligibility
To participate as a Creator on the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide valid government-issued photo identification for identity and age verification
- Be legally able to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction
- Maintain a verified payment account (Stripe Connect or equivalent) if you wish to sell paid content
1.1 Identity Verification
All Creators must complete identity verification before their first upload. Verification is handled through our payment processor’s identity service or, as a fallback, through manual review by Maus-Tec staff.
Maus-Tec stores only the verification result (verified: yes/no, date, and method). We do not store copies of your government ID unless manual verification is used, in which case it is stored in encrypted storage and deleted after verification is confirmed.
2. Content Ownership and Licensing
2.1 Your Ownership
You retain full copyright ownership of all content you upload to the Platform. This Agreement does not transfer ownership of your content to Maus-Tec.
2.2 License to Maus-Tec
By uploading content to the Platform, you grant Maus-Tec a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Host your content on our servers
- Distribute your content to purchasers and users who download free content (collectively, “recipients”) through the Platform
- Display your content in marketplace listings, search results, and promotional materials (including preview clips and thumbnails)
- Process your content through automated moderation and content review tools as described in our Automated Content Review policy
- Cache and deliver your content through content delivery networks
This license is limited to the operation of the Platform. We will not sublicense your content to other platforms, use it for purposes unrelated to Platform operations, or claim ownership of your work.
2.3 License Termination
This license terminates when you remove your content from the Platform, except that:
- Purchasers who bought your content before removal retain their license to use it (see Content Licensing Policy)
- Maus-Tec retains the right to continue hosting the content for existing purchasers
- Cached copies may persist in content delivery networks for a reasonable period after removal
3. Content Standards
3.1 Permitted Content
The Platform is a marketplace for adult content designed for intimate hardware devices. Content related to adult themes, intimacy, and pleasure is expected and permitted, including but not limited to:
- Explicit adult voice audio (dirty talk, domination/submission dialogue, teasing, encouragement, BDSM-themed content)
- Adult language in pack descriptions, clip names, and metadata
- Suggestive imagery (leather, restraints, lingerie, silhouettes, artistic representations, product photography)
- Plugins and firmware extensions for Maus-Tec devices
3.2 Prohibited Content
The following content is prohibited and will be immediately removed. This list is non-exhaustive; Maus-Tec reserves the right to remove any content that, in its judgment, violates the spirit of these standards. Violations may result in account termination and, where applicable, law enforcement referral.
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Minor-involving content | ANY content depicting, suggesting, or referencing sexual activity involving minors. Zero tolerance. |
| Non-consensual content | Content depicting, glorifying, or instructing non-consensual acts. CNC (consensual non-consent) roleplay requires explicit disclosure (see §3.3). |
| AI-generated voice content | Voice audio created by AI text-to-speech, voice cloning, or voice synthesis tools. ALL voice content must be performed by a real human. |
| AI-generated images | Images generated by AI tools — including but not limited to photographs, illustrations, renders, composites, and digitally altered images — used as pack artwork, icons, or banners. |
| Pornographic images | Nudity, explicit sexual imagery, or pornographic visual content in any medium (photographs, illustrations, renders, or similar). Only audio may be sexually explicit; visual content must remain suggestive. |
| Impersonation and IP infringement | Content designed to impersonate a real person without their documented consent, including deepfake voice clones. Also prohibited: use of trademarked character identities, likenesses, or intellectual property belonging to third parties without documented authorization. |
| Illegal content | Content promoting illegal activity, violence, or harm. |
| Hate speech | Content targeting individuals or groups based on protected characteristics. |
| Spam and fraud | SEO spam, phishing, scam listings, fake reviews. |
3.3 Consensual Non-Consent (CNC) Disclosure
If your content contains consensual non-consent roleplay themes, you must include a prominent disclosure in the pack description stating that the content is fantasy/roleplay. A checkbox confirming CNC content is required during upload.
3.4 The “Only Audio Can Be Explicit” Rule
Allowed:
- Audio content may be sexually explicit (this is the core product)
- Text content may use adult language to accurately describe audio
Prohibited:
- Visual content (icons, banners, avatars, preview images) must NOT be sexually explicit — suggestive only
This distinction exists because visual assets appear in search results, app stores, and shared links, while audio is consumed privately on the hardware.
4. Performer Consent and Documentation
4.1 Self-Attestation
For every upload, you must confirm:
- All voice performers are 18 years of age or older
- All performers have provided informed, written consent
- The content contains no AI-generated voices
- You have the legal right to distribute the content
If a submission includes multiple performers, each performer must individually confirm their consent. The uploading Creator is responsible for collecting and providing these confirmations.
This attestation is logged with your user ID, timestamp, and IP address.
4.2 Model Releases
If you are the sole performer in your own content, no model release is required — your self-attestation under §4.1 is sufficient.
You must provide signed model release forms for:
- Any performer other than yourself in paid or free content
- Any use of third-party voice recordings (royalty-free samples, Creative Commons audio, etc.)
Maus-Tec provides a standard model release template. You may use our template or an equivalent that includes, at minimum:
- Performer identity and age verification (18+)
- Informed consent for adult audio content distribution
- Distribution rights granted to you and to Maus-Tec
- Compensation acknowledgment
- Revocation process
4.3 Performer Consent Revocation
If a performer revokes their consent, you must notify Maus-Tec immediately. The affected content will be delisted within 30 days. Existing purchasers retain their license, but the content will no longer be available for new purchases.
4.4 Record Retention
Maus-Tec retains model release documents for the duration of the content listing plus 5 years, stored in encrypted, access-logged storage. This is consistent with industry standard record-keeping practices for adult content distribution.
5. Automated Content Review
Maus-Tec takes the rights of creators and performers seriously. We are acutely aware of the concerns surrounding the use of automated tools, including those marketed as “AI”, in creative industries, and we are committed to using them responsibly, transparently, and only where they serve to build a safer community.
We use computer-assisted tools to flag content that may require human review. These tools help us detect policy violations, verify compliance with legal requirements, and protect both creators and consumers. However:
- All final moderation decisions are made by a human. Automated tools may flag content for review, but they do not remove, reject, or penalize content on their own.
- Automated tools do not act on content. They assist our moderation team, however they do not replace it.
- You may opt out of automated processing. You can request human-only review of your content from your account settings. Opting out may result in longer review times, but will not affect your account standing or trust level.
The types of computer-assisted processing that may be applied to uploaded content include:
- Text classification (descriptions, metadata, transcripts)
- Audio transcription and analysis
- Image classification
- AI-generated content detection
- Speaker counting and verification against model releases
For full details on what tools are used, what data is sent, and your rights, see our Automated Content Review policy.
You retain the right to:
- Opt out of automated processing entirely (human-only review)
- Appeal any moderation decision
- Request information about what processing was performed on a specific upload
6. Revenue and Payments
6.1 Revenue Share
| Component | Amount |
|---|---|
| Payment processing fees (Stripe) | Deducted from gross sale price |
| Maus-Tec platform fee | 30% of net (after processing fees) |
| Creator payout | Remainder (~65-67% of gross, depending on sale price) |
Example: $9.99 sale
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| Gross sale | $9.99 |
| Stripe fee (2.9% + $0.30) | −$0.59 |
| Net | $9.40 |
| Maus-Tec platform fee (30%) | −$2.82 |
| Creator payout | $6.58 |
6.2 Minimum Listing Price
Paid listings are subject to a minimum price, which is set to cover the processing overhead of preparing each download for distribution. The current minimum listing price is published on the Platform.
6.3 Free Content
There are no fees for publishing free content. Maus-Tec absorbs hosting and processing costs for free content as a platform investment.
6.4 Payouts
- Payouts are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe Connect) to your connected bank account
- Minimum payout: per payment processor requirements (currently $10)
- Payout schedule: rolling basis (typically 2 business days after purchase)
- Currency: USD (additional currencies may be supported in the future)
6.5 Tax Obligations
You are responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on your earnings. Our payment processor handles tax form generation (1099-K for US creators, W-8BEN for international creators) as required by law.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Your Responsibility
You warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for all content you upload. This includes:
- Copyright in audio performances
- Rights to use any background music or sound effects
- Rights to use any images or artwork
- Trademark clearance for pack names and branding
7.2 DMCA Compliance
Maus-Tec complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and maintains standard safe harbor protections. If we receive a valid takedown notice regarding your content:
- The identified content will be promptly removed or disabled
- You will be notified and may file a counter-notice
- If no lawsuit is filed within 10–14 business days after the counter-notice, the content may be restored
Maus-Tec may also use automated tools to detect potential copyright infringement proactively, but all takedown actions are initiated by human review or in response to valid DMCA notices.
Repeated DMCA violations may result in account termination under our repeat infringer policy.
7.3 Reporting Infringement
If you believe another Creator’s content infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a DMCA takedown request by contacting info@maus-tec.com with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- Identification of the infringing material and its location on the Platform
- Your contact information
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
- Your physical or electronic signature
8. Account Standing and Trust Levels
8.1 Trust Levels
Your account trust level affects content review speed:
| Level | Criteria | Review Process |
|---|---|---|
| New | Fewer than 3 approved submissions | All content reviewed by staff |
| Established | 3–10 approved submissions, no rejections | Text auto-approved, media reviewed |
| Trusted | 10+ approved submissions, no recent rejections | All content eligible for auto-approval |
8.2 Trust Degradation
A content rejection with warning drops your trust level by one tier. A rejection with account suspension resets your trust level to New upon reinstatement.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maus-Tec LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Copyright or intellectual property infringement in your content
- Performer consent disputes
- Misrepresentation of content (e.g., AI-generated content presented as human-performed)
- Violation of any applicable law related to your content
- Breach of this Agreement
10. Termination
10.1 Voluntary Termination
You may close your Creator account at any time by contacting info@maus-tec.com or through your account settings. The effects of voluntary termination are described in §10.3.
10.2 Termination by Maus-Tec
Maus-Tec may terminate your account:
- With 30 days notice for any reason, including changes to the Platform
- Immediately for serious policy violations, including:
- Upload of minor-involving content
- Repeated upload of AI-generated content misrepresented as human
- Fraud or financial manipulation
- Illegal activity
- Repeated copyright infringement (DMCA repeat infringer policy)
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Content is delisted from the marketplace
- Existing purchasers retain their licenses
- Pending payouts are processed within 30 days
- You may request deletion of your personal data per our Privacy Policy
- Model releases and moderation records are retained per our data retention schedule
11. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. We will provide at least 30 days notice of material changes through the Platform and via email.
Continuing to use the Platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement. If you do not accept the changes, you may close your account (see §10.1).
Changes will not retroactively reduce the revenue share or rights applicable to content already uploaded, unless required by law.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of laws provisions.
12.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting info@maus-tec.com. We will respond within 10 business days.
12.3 Small Claims Exception
Either party may bring claims in small claims court in DuPage County, Illinois, if the claim qualifies.
